Easter Morning 4/12/2020

Brothers and sisters of Immanuel Lutheran – Englewood,

Alleluia!  Christ is risen!  He is risen indeed!  Alleluia!

Delight in God’s grace!

I know that I am missing gathering together each Lord’s Day to receive the gifts of grace and forgiveness in the Divine Service from our Crucified and Resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I am also missing you, all of my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.  I imagine that many of you are feeling just like I am.  I do not want to begin to suggest that this post will help you in either regard, but I did want to share with you a very brief video that shows that our Sanctuary is freshly appointed in liturgical white for the nearing return to worshipping together during this Easter season.  You will probably notice immediately the two new beautiful Easter banners hanging in the chancel, but you will have to look very closely to see the Easter lilies.

During this time of fasting in exile from the Divine Service, we pray for the health of everyone afflicted by the COVID-19 virus, and all medical and emergency personnel, and family who treat and care for these individuals, and finally that Jesus Christ, the great physician and healer of all, grant a quick recovery, cure, and vaccine for this pandemic.
