Holy Tuesday 4/7/2020

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:

Today, April 7, 2020 is Holy Tuesday.  If you have not reviewed my post for Holy Monday, you may want to do so now in order to have a better frame of reference for these daily posts during Holy Week 2020.  I pray that you find this message beneficial in your devotions this day.

The theme for Holy Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday – “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified (John 12:23b)” is found in the Gospel text for both Holy Monday and Holy Tuesday.

Old Testament:         Isaiah 49:1-7

Psalm:                        Psalm 71:1-14

Epistle:                       1 Corinthians 1:18-31

Gospel:                       John 12:23-50

Collect of the Day:

Almighty and everlasting God, grant us by Your grace so to pass through this holy time of our Lord’s passion that we may obtain the forgiveness of our sins; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.  Amen.
