Reformation Day

This year marks the 500th anniversary of the day Martin Luther posted the 95 theses, which began the largest reformation of the Christian church.  After that day, October 31, 1517, much change grew throughout the church to the joy that today we can proclaim as Luther did – We are saved through God’s grace alone!  “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8  ESV) Thanks be to God for His gift of faith, grace, and His Word for which we celebrate together this Reformation Day and all days.

If you would like to read more about the Reformation and Martin Luther, there are many resources.  A possible link to check out would be https://lutheranreformation.org/.  The latest video / documentary, Martin Luther:  The Idea That Changed the World, which appeared in select theaters and aired on PBS in September will also be coming to video soon to be viewed at home.  It was quite accurate and well done.
